Joy of the Season

CHRISTMAS ISN’T A SEASON – IT’S A FEELING.

-Edna Ferber

Bubbly and bright is the Christmas season, like champagne popping atop fresh orange juice, igniting the morning with a festive sweetness not otherwise captured by the tastebuds.

Wrapped boxes transform even the grumpiest into a playful, bright-eyed child eager for what is contained beneath the bow.

“The sun is setting now, but I feel yours is only just rising.”

I hope all of you had a merry, blessed Christmas.

If you did not, I wish for your pains to diminish as the New Year approaches. I wish for peace upon your heart, smiles upon your face, and camaraderie and kindness to swarm around you like butterflies in a flowery wood. If you feel lost, unloved, and alone, know that I treasure you even if I have never beheld your face and your soul. I have not forgotten about you, nor will I ever.
